Best. Birthday. Ever.

As some of you may know, I am currently on my Davecation road trip for Dave Matthews Band. I just had two concerts in Alabama. Our first stop was Orange Beach on June 2nd. GREAT SHOW. (As usual) Our next stop was on my birthday, June 3rd, Tuscaloosa AL.

Our day started at 4 am in the pit line with about 5 other people. We sat and hung out and spent our time talking about our recent adventures. Throughout the day we would hear other fans saying they had seen some of the band members around the venue.

We ran into Jeff Coffin, saxophonist for DMB and he was so sweet to stop and take a picture with me for my birthday. About an hour later we ran into DAVE MATTHEWS!

I always told myself if I ever got the chance to meet him, I would have him autograph next to my Firedancer tattoo and I would get his signature tattooed. Well, he rode up on his bicycle and removed his helmet and gloves and I told him that it was my birthday. He smiled and wished me a happy birthday and I asked for a photo and he said of course! He apologized for being sweaty (like I cared) and he squeezed me so tight I thought I was going to melt.
After the picture I almost forgot about the autograph so I asked if he would sign and he said yeah, of course. I was wearing high waisted shorts and they were covering my ribs where I wanted him to sign so I proceeded to unbutton them while mentioning that I wasn’t planning on removing them and Dave laughed and said oh no, that’s quite alright!

I honestly could not have asked for a better birthday. It was by far the best day of my life. I am one happy happy girl.

Life is short but sweet for certain.
